Korean Village Restaurant
628 Bloor St WestÂ
On our way to one of our Korean favourites, Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu, we noticed this restaurant and decided to try a new restaurant. Thank goodness we did.
We walked in and the restaurant was much larger than we expected. In spite of that, it was their larger than life enthusiasm and service on top of serving wonderful food blew us away.
The Stone Bowl Bibimbap (T’s favourite to order) was great, she said, though still second to BCDST. The Black Dragon Roll was nothing short of ordinary.
The Beef Katsu was definitely something I felt I needed to order because I’ve never seen that option anywhere else — katsu has always been either chicken or pork. Plus, fried beef is always amazing. It definitely did not disappoint. It was simply amazing.
The Kalbi Beef though was the front-runner. Two slices of marinated beef, grilled to perfection was what Phil ordered, and drool began to drip from my mouth from across the table. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender with flavours that just worked. Definitely a must try.
Go to Korean Village and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
