354 Queen St West
This is my second time having BQM but my first at this location. Like most places along Queen West, this resto was small, equipped with booths for two — one on either side — so it makes for a cozy sit-in where you can easily share sides with your best friend or significant other.
Rene, Phil, and I shared sweet potato fries that were as good as at most other places and onion rings that were so large we fought over who’d have the last one. Not bad. Just average sides.
But we came for their $5 special for the GridTO-hosted Burger Week. GridTO gave this description: “Their newest premium AAA house ground beef—the Brisket—with herbed goat cheese, caramelized onions and jalapeno aioli.” (Yay for archived Interwebs!) Don’t those toppings sound droolworthy together and on their own?
Definitely a notch up from the homemade-tasting burger from mine and Merky’s first visit! My only complaint is that the bun was much larger than the brisket patty cuz bites of burgers deprived of meat make me sad.
ps. Burger Week was end of May/start of June, I know. I forgot about these photos (along with several others) and recently discovered them — so I’m only getting around to posting them now. Sorry!
